Antaragini

We realized that our true essence, true culture, true talent has taken a back seat and we are trying to facsimile the west. As it is said, diamonds are always hidden beneath the surface. So through Antaragini, we will uncover the diamonds of talent and add a sparkle to them. However, practically we mean to unearth the unexplored talent of Hyderabad. Antaragini comprises of six major divisions-Acting, Dance, Music,Singing, Script Writing and Art. So to put it in simpler terms, it is a hunt where we are looking out for amazing actors, ravishing dancers, mesmerizing musicians Thoughtful Script Writers and Innovative Artists who have never come out of their shell. We don’t have an age limit. So anybody with any talent is allowed.
We don’t stop here, Antaragini is allowed to everyone who thinks talent is inbuilt in him or her. So any person with any kind of talent, May it be, martial arts, mimicry, etc., Antaragini welcomes it wholeheartedly.

Acting: 1 minute mono-act[t0 be composed by the applicant]

Dance: Classical,Western,Filmy,etc.

Music: Classical Indian and Western and anything else.

2. Rock Bands[3 minutes]

Singing: Classical,Western,Filmy,etc

2. Duet Singing[1 Minute]


3. Group Singing[2 Minute]

Script-Writing: 250 words of gripping screenplay to be brought at the venue.

Art: Out-of-the-box painters,Artists.[Equipment to be brought by the applicants]

Instructions for the applicants

1. CDs for Dance should be deposited at the registration desk and the format is only MPEG,AVI.WMV


2. CDs for the karaoko of singing,if any, should be deposited at the registration desk.


3. Musicians in case of rock bands need to bring their own equipment and that only a Basic Drum-Kit would be provided.


4. Registrations is Rs.50 and in case of a group and Duet[Group Dance,Rock Bands,Group Singing,etc] is Rs.150 and it should be paid at the venue.

What is Echo..!!

23 June 2009 was the date when Tameem[Our Founder-President] was struck with the idea of doing something new, yet known to people. Being from the theatre fraternity, it always fascinated me but just doing plays didn’t satisfy him.
Concerts, music, getting to know our culture, our country was the basic idea of setting up the company. So we came down to just one word-“echo” which symbolises a voice but not chaos.
We started with recruitment for the team of echo at café latte. Though we expected a HUGE TURNOUT, we had only 19 people coming in out of which we selected 16.
Echo is not confined in doing plays or talent hunts, or concerts, we would be venturing into a lot more stuff like our major project-“My Hyderabad Report” where in we would be selecting five youngsters across the city to do an integrated, audio-Video Survey about what is the city all about-Historically, Ethically, Modernity,etc.
It is the only Performing arts Company of Hyderabad which believes in venturing into new and unconventional Dimensions of Entertainment and Responsibility towards the Society. Each step of Echo has a message, a motto behind it.
We believe in reviving our true culture and liveliness of our country, which we think has been lost in transit.
So, put it in simpler terms, we believe in dreaming big which everyone does, but the only difference is we work towards fulfilling. Echo is an answer to all those who don’t believe that youngsters cant do anything resourceful.
